AIM Group International Publishes its 2024 Annual & Sustainability Report

Embarking on a new wave of transformation…

Milan, 9th July 2025 – AIM Group International, a global leader in events, communication and consultancy, today unveils its 2024 Annual & Sustainability Report, marking the first time its Corporate and Sustainability accounts are presented together. In a year defined by conscious transformation rather than revolution, AIM turned a silent ripple of intent into a wave of impact, championing responsibility, innovation and long‑term value creation for clients, people and the planet.

Echoes of Impact

2024 was a significant year for AIM Group, during which it managed several major, international events. These included the International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2024), which attracted 12.000 delegates to Italy; the 18th European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV), which saw 7.000 participants - a 58% increase on the previous edition; and the World Conference on Earthquake Engineering (WCEE), which welcomed 4.250 delegates and 110 sponsors. These events demonstrate the growing interest in high-value scientific conferences

“Our values are where the wave begins,” says Gianluca Buongiorno, President of AIM Group International. “In 2024 we didn’t treat sustainability as a duty, but as a growth driver. We renewed our ISO 20121 certification, improved our EcoVadis rating and were recognized as a Healthy Workplace, confirming our commitment to people and the planet. From new agile workspaces in Milan and Florence to digital tools that enrich every event experience, we have strengthened our foundation for a sustainable future. Looking ahead, AIM continues to evolve generating echoes of connection, innovation and purpose that will resonate far beyond tomorrow”.

“Purpose and performance go hand in hand,” adds Gianluca Scavo, CEO of AIM Group International. “With revenues of nearly €94 million and EBITDA of over €2.5 million, we have demonstrated resilience and strategic strength. Significant debt reduction has freed up resources for innovation, technology and talent, and our new 2025–2029 industrial plan is already accelerating digitalisation across the Group. Despite global uncertainty, our structure, culture and dedicated team position us to shape the future together.”

Echoes of Responsibility

This year’s report highlights AIM Group International’s evolution towards a fully integrated sustainability model. In 2024 over 100 team members completed ESG training to embed shared responsibility across every function, 87,5% of procurement was directed to local suppliers, and a four‑pillar “4Rs” (Reduction, Reuse, Recycling, and Recovery) waste‑management policy was rolled out. On the social front, a new Diversity & Inclusion Policy was promoted to ensure gender balance at all levels, and health, well‑being and accessibility were woven into every event.

“Looking ahead to 2025, we will join the Science Based Targets initiative, achieve zero waste in core operations, cut event waste by 50% and secure an EcoVadis Bronze rating” reflects Patrizia Semprebene Buongiorno, Vice President of AIM Group International. “Sustainability is no longer a separate pillar, it’s embedded in how we think, act, and create value, within our Group and across the ecosystem we serve.”
