Our Competitive Edge in Challenging Times...
The INCON Board met in Glasgow 29-30 October 2014 to share best practice on current issues impacting the international meetings industry. The hosts, the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) and the Glasgow City Marketing Bureau demonstrated the power and attraction of this city of culture and science on the Northern periphery of Europe, voted the Best UK Convention Bureau for seven years. INCON experienced first-hand how the city mobilises each facet of the city to deliver top class events and work with Glasgow to explore, review and brainstorm ways to increase the steady stream of international congresses to the city. The program was built around a series of meetings including the exceptional event campus encompassing the SSE Hydro, a purpose built entertainment and conferencing arena and the Clyde Auditorium.
