INCON AT IMEX 2008
The INCON stand, once again, was the single busiest stand at IMEX recording well in excess of 1250 distinct visitors. All INCON partners were on hand to present their new campaign “We put you in control” to organisers of association conferences and corporate meetings. Unprecedented visitor numbers were attracted to the stand by a clear and unambiguous message – operating your congress or event with an INCON partner puts you in control.
We also conducted a straw poll to determine which aspect of congress or meeting management poses the most challenge to planners. Of the 6 possible “challenges”, the majority of respondents stated that “Destination Selection” was the most difficult obstacle to overcome, followed by “Budget Management”.
The partners of INCON would again like to commend Ray Bloom and Paul Flackett for another wonderful IMEX. with lots of business taking place over the three days of the Exhibition. INCON would like to thank Abbitt Meeting Support and Dorier SA for their contribution to the success of the Internet Cafe at IMEX.
INCON HOLD THEIR BOD MEETING AND UNIVERSITY IN SYDNEY
February 2008: INCON held the first Board of Directors meeting of 2008 in Sydney. Sydney is the city of our Australian partner Tour Hosts and Roslyn McLeod planned a wonderful social itinerary for the partners which included a seaplane trip to Palm Beach where we had lunch at Jonah's restaurant. However, the highlight of our visit was our attendance at The Sydney Opera House where we were priviliged to see a production of Puccini's La Boheme.
Our thanks to the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre who hosted the INCON partners to a fabulous evening in their wonderful location in Darling Harbour.
The theme for the INCON University in Sydney was 'Project Managers' . The university was attended by project managers from many of our global offices.
